Possibly London's most accessible local bookshop is Bookseller Crow on the Hill, with all the usual stuff plus non-mainstreem fodder and a wonderful kids' section. All this takes place in a groundfloor room around the size of a waterstone' basement. The staff are friendly and knowledgable: you get the impression they actually read books.

Time Out

The Bookseller Crow on the Hill is a local independent bookshop situated in Crystal Palace London SE19. The shop has been in existence for nearly ten years and is run by Jonathan Main and Justine Crow, who between them, have more than 35 years bookselling experience.

They spend most of their time wondering just what it was that they did wrong in a previous life. So far to no avail.

That was a joke. We love it really.
